3 great and free AI Text Generators

From chatbots for conversations to content generators for articles and stories, there are plenty of AI Text Generators out there, like ChatGTP, that analyze data to understand context and generate relevant content. Those are part of the natural language processing field (NLP), a branch of AI that focuses on the interaction between computers and human language. It enables machines to understand, interpret, and generate human-like text or other forms of data based on patterns and information learned from vast datasets. These models analyze context, language nuances, and user preferences to generate coherent and contextually appropriate content.

Yet instead of thinking that we, writers, can lose our jobs because of those tools, we have to consider them as what they are: tools. A “tool” is an object or device that is used to perform a specific task or achieve a particular purpose, often in a mechanical or manual context. In a nutshell, tools are designed to make tasks easier, more efficient, or possible to accomplish.

That is why writers can make the most of AI-powered writing generators to boost their creativity and productivity. AI Text Generators can help with brainstorming, generating content, saving time, enhancing creativity, and improving writing by providing real-time feedback. They are versatile, assisting in various types of writing, from blogs to marketing. By teaming up with AI, writers can overcome writer’s block and create engaging content more efficiently.

3 free AI Text Generators

Besides, ChatGTP, I have tried several free AI Text Generators (if you google them, yeah, it can be overwhelming, and also most of them are not for free); and the following are my favs:

lex.page. This is a great writing assistant. It is very easy to set up and offers a word text processor powered by chatGTP. It gives you ideas if you face the Writer’s Block. Also, it is possible to ask for feedback about your writing. One of the things that could be improved is the Generate text from a prompt option from the Comand taskbar, as the space to write the prompt is too small (in particular, if you need to enter a large input).

Anyway, I generated the following text by using the prompt option and asked it to write why a writer should use this AI Text Generator. The outcome is quite cool:

Rytr.me. The free version of this AI Text Generator offers a word processor. Also, a user-friendly setup to start content creation. It is possible to select the language, the tone, the type of text, and other options like keywords, as well as variants. I tried it to write a blog post and it is quite good, yet I didn’t see any option to set the amount of words/paragraphs, etc. For multilingual writers, the language selection is interesting. The last time I tried it, I generated a text about the writer´s bloc in Spanish. The article is good. As an Argentinian, the words and expressions used here are not very used in my country. So, we need to read and edit if we would like to use it for that market. In general, it is a good start.

Wordtune. What I liked most about this free AI Text Generator (the free subscription) is that offers a great toolbar. It has basic but essential instruments that every writer has in her/his mind when writing. For example: rewrite, shorten, expand, and tone of voice. If you highlight a sentence, you can get other options according to what you want. Perfect to quickly have different alternatives, generate more ideas, and boost your creativity. To compare it to the previous tool, I generated a post about the same topic in English.

In a nutshell

They are not just user-friendly but they offer a simple layout, similar to what we already know, like Word or Google Docs. They stand out in writing aspects that every UX writer or content designer may find useful. All of them provide good text. I know. It is not needed to say it, but just in case: we have to check, edit, and adapt the content for our own purposes.
